Services

Pre-Cast Installation

We have 4 fully certified erection crews. Each gang carries a SSSTS site supervisor, a CPCS crane supervisor and 2 slinger signallers. Every crew member is face fit tested and qualified in vehicle marshalling and harness use and inspection. We also have PASMA And IPAF trained staff for specific tasks. Each crew carries a complete compliment of tools to complete most installs. All lifting equipment is inspected every 6 months by an external company. We also provide a passive fall system (see relevant sub folder). We also have a CPCS appointed person who compiles RAMS, COSHH assessments and Lift plans. We can provide a complete flooring solution no matter how big or small the project.

Insitu Concrete and Formwork

Our Insitu shuttering Carpenters have more than 30years experience in casting a wide variety of bespoke concrete structures, specialising in insitu stairs and jump form systems. We provide a complete service from design to finish. We have worked on a number of projects from insitu staircases, upstand walls, retaining walls, RC frames. Archways and carpark ramps.

Disproportionate Collapse

Also referred to as progressive collapse occurs when a structural element of a building fails and leads to a collapse. We can reduce the risk of a progressive failure by providing lateral ties between units and structural steel frame. This is typically achieved by placing rebar into slots and pockets formed in the hollowcore units at manufacture and pouring with a concrete mix to form a solid connection between planks. We can also tie rebar around shear studs welded to steel frame to create a physical connection to the frame. This method can also apply to composite beam. This process generally involved shuttering the perimeter using timber or galvanised edge trim, shutter around columns and concrete the whole floor including longitudinal joints. This will leave a solid flat floor ready for structural topping or screed work.

Pekso Strong Floor & Bubble Deck

This flooring technique involves installing temporary support system below the precast units as the precast element is manufactured 50mm thick making it the permanent formwork for a solid strong floor. Rebar is installed above the pekso and filled solid with concrete. This method is generally more expensive and a slower process but will create a far stronger floor capable of carrying much greater loads over larger spans. The soffit finish is also of a much higher spec with units not requiring a camber.

Core Drilling & Concrete Repair

We can provide core drilling services on smaller projects. We can supply hand held or rig drilling for holes up to 600mm in diameter. We can provide our own power to complete the most remote works.

Safety Nets and Airbags

We can provide a number of fall prevention methods. Safety nets are the preferred method on steel frame structures as this will eliminate the risk of falling out of the frame itself.

Airmats provide an alternative while working on traditional build projects. We also use airmats as a trailer protection method to protect the slinger while working from the trailer of delivery wagons. We can provide alternative fall arrest methods involving harnesses and dragon cams or inertia reels but these are generally last resort methods but certain projects do require alternate approaches.
